6/28/24 – The General Assembly has adjourned without passing several bills (HB 823, HB 263, and HB 317) that would have provided additional funding for the Opportunity Scholarship and ESA+ programs.  At this time, it is unclear when the General Assembly might again consider providing additional funds for these programs. 

There is no deadline by which the General Assembly must take action on these bills. If there are any updates, we will post information on the website.  Families can also check on the status of HB 823, HB 263, and HB 317, on the General Assembly’s website at www.ncleg.gov.
