K12 Programs Announcement

6/20/24 – The General Assembly is considering several bills (HB 823, HB 263, and HB 317) that would provide additional funding for the Opportunity Scholarship and ESA+ programs. These bills have several additional steps before becoming law, and there is no deadline by which action must be taken. 

If additional funds become available, SEAA will begin awarding eligible students whose applications were received during the priority period (February 1 – March 1) as soon as possible. After these awards are made, if funds remain available in either program, SEAA may re-open the application. Parents who did not apply during the priority period can sign up for the Opportunity Scholarship and ESA+ notification lists. These families will receive an email with instructions to complete an application at that time.
