Tuition and Fee Schedule Requirement

All Direct Payment Schools are required to submit a tuition and fee schedule annually, regardless of whether they will have program recipients enrolled in their school for the year in which the schedule is being requested.  See the Tuition and Fee Schedule Instructions for assistance documenting your school’s tuition and fees.

When is the tuition and fee schedule due?

The tuition and fee schedule for the upcoming academic year is due July 15th each year.

How do schools submit information?

Schools will upload the tuition and fee schedule via the tuition and fee schedule task on their MyPortal Taskpad. This task will be added to Taskpad beginning late January of each year.

Can we submit information by email or fax?

No. Schools may not submit their tuition and fee schedule via email or fax.

What if our tuition and fees don’t change? Will we still need to submit a tuition and fee schedule?

The tuition and fee schedule should list the tuition and fees charged by your school for the academic year in which the schedule is requested.  If a school’s tuition and fees do not change with a new academic year, the school is still expected to submit a copy of their tuition and fee schedule.

What information should be included?

  1. The name of the school and city in which it is located.
  2. The academic year for which the document is being requested.
  3. The tuition and fees charged by your school per student for the academic year.

Tuition and Fee Schedule Tips:

If your school reports tuition by how payments are broken out to the family

Your tuition and fee schedule must include the frequency by which these payments are billed (10 monthly payments, 2 semesterly payments, etc.). If your school reports tuition as an annual sum, this information is not necessary.

If your school has an Exceptional Children (EC) or Special Education curriculum that is billed at a different rate than your standard tuition

If your school has an Exceptional Children (EC) or Special Education curriculum that is billed at a different rate than your standard tuition, it must be listed on your tuition and fee schedule.  Schools should not report EC or Special Education tuition rates during certification if these rates are not included on your tuition and fee schedule.

If your school charges fees in addition to tuition

These should be itemized on your tuition and fee schedule even if they are not be covered by the K12 Programs.  Please do not list fees as a lump sum without itemizing what type of fees are included in the charge.

If you already completed the Cost of Attendance section in MyPortal

The Cost of Attendance section of MyPortal is intended to assist large schools with completing certification by allowing them to program their standard cost per grade level. This feature is separate from your Tuition and Fee Schedule. Completing the Cost of Attendance section of your school’s MyPortal account is not a substitute for submitting a tuition and fee schedule.
