How to Apply
Thank you for your interest in the Education Savings Account (ESA). The program provides up to $9,000 per year for students with disabilities who enroll in a participating nonpublic (private or homeschool).
- Covers required tuition and fees for students enrolled in a participating school
- Covers expenses related to educating a child with a disability
- No out-of-pocket expenses (provides families with an electronic debit account to transfer funds to pay qualified expenses)
Funds can be used for school tuition, as well as for expenses such as speech or occupational therapy, tutoring services, and educational technology for families who home school their students.
When?
Apply between February 1 – March 15
How are students chosen?
Scholarships are awarded by lottery.

Private schools do not have to provide the same special education services as public schools. Parents are encouraged to select a nonpublic school carefully and find out what the school could provide to meet their child’s educational needs.
